This project has a special story, and its transformation does not fall short.

A heart and soul project.

This is about a space with an area of 58 sqm, the living room in the parental home of the designer, David Raymond.
The design project began in February 2019, when he decided to bring back to life the place where he grew up.

The room was cluttered, devoid of personality, and unwelcoming. Therefore, it was desired to change the appearance of the room and create a relaxed environment, welcoming and comfortable, where the family could reunite and enjoy the time spent together, creating memories in a warm place.
Each step required much attention, responsibility, and work, as the project faced many challenges.

The most complex challenge was to rethink the entire room regarding decor and thermal and electrical installations, so we implemented a unique and rarely approached interior design style in our area – the tropical minimalist style.
The combination of these two styles inspired the color scheme, creating balance and harmony.
The color palette ranges from warm tones, such as beige and off-white colors, to pastel green, gray, and shades of brown, along with contrasting noncolors, white and black.
This type of interior design is rarely found in our country, reflecting the idea of a contemporary, open, luminous space that creates an image of clarity, calm, and exclusivity. It combines in a harmonious manner different types of wood in warm, light colors, concrete elements, and iron and aluminum components, thus rendering the ideal mix between rustic and modern.
The ceiling was decorated using pine tree beams, treated in such a way as to acquire a warm shade and a uniform appearance, the initial version being made of plasterboard with built-in spotlights. Another highlight of the room is the staircase with its minimalist appearance and metal structure, the steps sustained by a beam. So, this becomes the core element that unites the innovation of the minimalist features with the rustic look given by the tropical influences. This place close to the designer’s heart reflects a welcoming and warm space, ideal for family gatherings and hosting the outcome of unforgettable memories!
